You have selected a place where I share my most personal and private thoughts
and descriptions of what makes me tick and what ticks me off.

After 20 years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor & Industry, Bureau of Management Information Services (assigned to DataBase Administration in 1994), I accepted a similar position with the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Technology Services, Strategic Development Division, primarily assigned to the IIMS [Incident Information Management System] project. I spent two years extensively analyzing the business processes and identifying the data requirements to help design an integrated system to replace the existing, antiquated paper-based system. On October 12th, 2002 I transferred to the PA Department of State, Technical Services Division to assist in their database section (currently under their Application Development Division). I thoroughly enjoy the challenges of keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies in order to facilitate the organization and presentation of information. This also ties in well with my overly enthusiastic interest in genealogy as a hobby.

I was married nearly 20 years when my wife decided to part ways and begin another chapter in our lives. Fortunately this marriage produced two energetic, intelligent and conscientious sons. They have spent many summers working at HersheyPark and have kept busy with numerous activities at school and with friends. In the Spring of 2007 my eldest son completed his senior year and graduated from Penn State University, State College campus. He is living and working in NJ. My younger son is working an internship with the Commonwealth of PA over the summer. In the Fall he will start his senior year at George Mason University in Fairfax VA.

We've enjoyed visits to:
Baltimore for an Orioles game,
State College for Penn State football games,
and Hershey to watch the Bears play hockey.
Favorite vacation spots are:
Philadelphia PA,
Santa Fe NM,
Rehoboth Beach DE,
Williamsburg VA,
Toronto Canada
(to visit the Menons),
Washington DC,
Salt Lake City UT,
and even New York City.
Some day soon I hope to take a trip to Scotland to see the land from which my ancestors came.
Personally, I enjoy the Pittsburgh area (of genealogical interest) or any "out of the way" community that might contain clues of my relatives, either past or present.
