THE ALDERLEY COLLECTION

My sincere thanks to Brian Hobson of Cheshire who has allowed this unique collection of photographs to be displayed on these pages. Also, my special thanks to Malcolm Smith for all of his kind assistance. I believe that both of these two gentlemen have a deep and real feeling of the importance of keeping the history of those brave men of World War One alive.

The collection consists of 28 unique photographs that depict 200 + "recovering" casualties plus staff and children of Alderley Hall in Cheshire, during the World War One era. Perhaps apart from the superb quality of the original photographs, the most incredible thing about this collection is that, (to the best of my knowledge) none of these people have ever been identified.

As some of these photographs are of groups of people, so they are by necessity (for clarity) fairly large files. So please be patient whilst they load.

If you have any information about the people depicted within these photographs, or any information about Alderley Hall during the WW1 period please contact Roger at :- Capewell10@aol.com

Thank you for visiting this collection. I wish you good luck !
