Joseph was born at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Cuny Table, Shannon Co., South Dakota, USA, on October 13, 1922.1 He was the son of William Lorenzo Jacobs III and Lottie Eva Montileaux. He was a student at Holy Rosary Mission Boarding School, Pine Ridge, Shannon Co., South Dakota, USA, after 1927. School: He atteded the Holy Rosary Mission Boarding School for two years of his grade school education, then completed he education at Oglala Boarding School of Pine Ridge, S.D..1 Joseph served in the military at North Pacific Theater after 1940. Skee joine the Navy at the outbreak of WWII, and was assigned, as a gunner, to a cargo carrying ship on the North Sea route to Great Britain and Russian Ports. Two of the supply ships he was on were sunk by enemy submaries during the height of the Europeon war..1 He married Alma Richard in 1942.1 He was released from active duty at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN., USA, on 10, 1945.1 Joseph's occupation: at Igloo, Fall River Co., South Dakota, USA, circa 1946.1 Joseph served in the military circa 1950. Trained as a Jet Engine Mechanic. He retired early from the work force due to complications with his was injuries..1 Joseph graduated on August 7, 1975. Institution: U.S. Indian Police Traing & Res..1 He resided at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Porcupine, Shannon Co., South Dakota, USA, in 1978.1 He resided at Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Pine Ridge, Shannon Co., South Dakota, USA, after 1992. Joseph died on January 30, 1999 at Pine Ridge Hospital, Pine Ridge, Shannon Co., South Dakota, USA, at age 76. His body was interred on February 3, 1999 at Sturgis, Meade Co., South Dakota, USA, at Black Hills National Cemetery.1
