2 Randy James Brown died on July 17, 2006 at Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, Pennington Co., South Dakota, USA, at age 48; RAPID CITY - Randy James Brown, 48, of Rapid City, SD, passed on at Rapid City Regional Hospital on Monday, July 17, 2006. Our much loved son, brother and uncle, Randy was born on Aug. 13, 1957, in Chicago, IL, to Myra Edna (Witt) Brown and the late William James Brown. Randy attended school at Holy Rosary Mission in Pine Ridge. At age 17 Randy enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he proudly served his country. He also attended college at Oglala Lakota College in Rapid City. Randy was very active in the lives of his nephews and nieces and his great-nephews and great-nieces. Randy has left behind his mother, Edna Brown; his stepfather, James Anderson, both of Rapid City; his hunka brother, Earl Wilcox of Rosebud; his two brothers, Reed (Anita) Brown, Wambli, and Terry Brown, Rapid City; his four sisters, April (Gary) Obr, Billie Jo Brown, Erna (Erik) Ghost Dog, and Julie Mohney, all of Rapid City; his special friend, Connie Lawerance, Houston, TX; his uncle, Ron Taylor, Elk Hart, IN; and his hunka uncles, William Wilcox, Rapid City, and William (Poncho) Zimigia, Wambli; his hunka aunts, Geneva Gonzales, Rapid City, Zona Brown, Pine Ridge, Florence Dillion, Denver, CO; 17 nephews and nieces; and 13 great-nephews and great-nieces. Randy was preceded in death by his father, William; two sisters; one great-nephew; and his dog Sugar. Randy loved the outdoors, camping, and fishing. He especially loved going to the Sturgis Rally. Randy is loved by all that know him. There will be a private visitation for relatives only on Sat., July 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Serenity Springs' Chapel of Tranquility. All night Wake Services will begin on Sun., July 23, at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, then proceeding to Mother Butler Center. Funeral Services will be held on Mon., July 24, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church with Deacon LeRoy DeCory officiating. Interment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Military Honors will be provided by Sicangu Lakota Warriors. Leo C. Brown1 (M)

Leo C. Brown was also known as Buddy Brown.1 Leo was born in 1933.1 He resided in 1988.1 He died on December 7, 2002 at Rapid City Regional Hospital, Rapid City, Pennington Co., South Dakota, USA.1 He was buried on December 13, 2002 at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, Meade Co., South Dakota, USA; RAPID CITY - Leo "Buddy" C. Brown Sr., 69, of Rapid City, died Saturday, December 7, 2002, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Leo was a PFC in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After the war Leo took a job as a security officer at Sioux San Hospital. He also worked at Boeing Missile, Sioux Falls Construction and SD Concrete. Leo enjoyed playing pool and was an awesome player. He enjoyed whistling, hand-shaking and loved his friends and family.
He is survived by his son Archy M. Brown Sr. and his children, Archy Jr., Vanessa and her daughter Aaliyah, Kristina, Monique, Chadwick, Gerrad, April, Trevor, Tawny, Stefan, Keeshawn, Triston, Daughter Beverly and her children, Rashard and his son Anton, Latoya, Cathi and Anthony, son Leo C. Brown Jr. and his daughter Alice, son Manuel L. Brown and his children, Athena, Gabriel, Jessica, Shaylene, Kacheri, Kyra, Darius, Spencer, Jackie and Kayla, son Dion M. Brown Sr. and his children Dion Jr., Amber, Jesse, Chance, Karen, Raven, Jaden and Kobe, and half-sister Hanna Amiotte.
He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Brown; numerous siblings; and his parents.
Wake services will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2002, with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Mother Butler Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church at noon on Friday, December 13, with Fr. Pat McCorkell S.J. officiating. Full military burial will be held 2 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis.
Kirk Funeral Home of Rapid City is in charge of arrangements.1
