Hello Everyone, my name is Mike (Jacobs) Stevens and I am the webmaster of this site.  I can't say I'm the author of the materials on this site. I just brought together these materials with help of my Grandmothers Vi O'Rourke-Scott and Louise O'Rourke-Conway, my mom Patricia Brewer-Stevens, my dad Billy Jacobs, and the many people who have contributed their information, and the Inter-Library Loan Program at the Fort Berthold Community College Library.

The purpose of this site is to keep the stories and histories of our families alive.  A place for our elders to reminisce, a place for our youth find out about where they come from and who they're related to, and a place for relatives to find themselves again.

The surname pages are generated by a genealogy database program called The Master Genealogist v6 and Second Site.  Which accounts for the areas of duplicate information and images.  You might also notice that maybe certain dates may be off or include "CA" or "ABT" before the date.  In these instances the date is only an estimate.   Also information on living individuals are not shown on the site, unless published elswhere such as obituaries or articles.   I choose to do this for privacy reasons.  If you object to having your name listed on this site just drop a letter or e-mail and I'll substitute your name with "un-named".  You'll also notice some entries that give the first or last name as Unknown.  This just means I couldn't find the information but want to include it with the hopes of later finding them.  Also some surnames end with a question mark "?'.  This usually used when the maiden name is unknown but the married is known (i.e.: Stevens?).

If you don't find your family that doesn't mean I wanted to exclude anyone.  If you'd like to to contribute to this site this just drop me an e-mail at chaske1@hotmail.com

or if some information is incorrect. please let me know and I'll correct it as soon as possible. The accuracy of any information is only as good as the number of sources to back it up. I'm not an expert historian or family researcher but do love the search. Hope everyone enjoys the web site! :}
