Iain Middleton of New Zealand wrote an article about the dedication of two stain glass windows in Scottish churches. The first three pages are about the window at the Ballater Church at Glenmuick. The final pages are about the window at the Birse Church at Aboyne.
Iain also wanted me to call your attention to the fact that the Birse Church is for sale by the Church of Scotland. There is a web page created by Sharon Jameson. She is trying raise interest in preserving the the Church. I recommend a look.
Again from Iain Middleton. Here is what we have of the Descendants of WILLIAM MIDDLETON (1779-1839) of Craigieshino. The family names referenced are ALLAN, ANDERSON, BEVERIDGE, DUNCAN, HUTTON, JAFFREY, JAMIESON, LESLIE, LINDSAY, McDIARMID, MIDDLETON, NEILSON, NIDDRIE, RITCHIE, SIME, and STALLON. This all that we have on this family group as we have not been able to connect William with either of our lines. We would be very pleased to hear from any descendants of this line and especially happy to hear from anyone who has traced William's parentage.
Also new an updated descendant report for the family of WILLIAM MIDDLETON and JEAN TAYLOR, born around 1729, who lived at Strathywell, Kincardine, Scotland. This document is available in Word Rich Text Format or in PDF Format.
Update on 7 April 2003: I have received some information from Dawn Livingstone in Canada and made some additons and corrections.
I have recently had a DNA reading done with the hope of using the results for genealogy.
This is still scifi but I am going to put the results here and I would like to contact anyone
who has a match. As I understand the results, if all twelve results are the same there is a 99.9%
probablility that a common ancestor exists. The rub is in how many generations there are until the
common ancestor is found.
