Will A3963 283 Conrad Christ Bern twp wf/Maria
Sept. 17, 1799-10/8/1799 Provides for wife Maria. To
son Johannes my Plantation in Bern containing
136 acres for which he shall pay £500 of which he shall have
£400 for his portion and pay £100 To son Conrad, daughters
Elizabeth Staud (Stoudt) and Catharine Christ . To son Conrad my other
Plantation in Bern County 123 acres. Remainder to 3 children Conrad,
Elizabeth and Catharine. Friend Johannes Bucks and son Johannes,
Exrs. Witnessed by Peter Kirschner and John Bright (the land
is bordering Johannes Bucks, Johannes Brecht and Michael Geiss)

Conrad Christ and John Bright, wit for Jacob Conrad's will, Bern twp
Bucks Family: John Bucks was a taxable
of Bern twp in 1759. In 1770 he purchased from Jacob Grimm the Bucks
homestead which remained in the family over 100 years. He died in
1816 leaving several children. Among them Anna Mary, wife of Conrad
