Know all men by the presents that we Maria Christy
widow & relict of Henry Christy late of Germany deceased & John
Miller and John Niccoll (?) Bollman or Collman (?) both of Heidelberg in
Lancaster County yeomen are (two dashes- not figured out when translating
from German) Held and firmly bound unto William Plumsted (?) Register General
for the probate of wills and granting letters of administration in and
for the province to be paid the said Register general or to his Certain
attorney Heirs Executors and Administrators or Assigns to the which payment
well and truly to be made. We do hereby bind ourselves our Heirs
Execitprs and Administrators jointly and severely for and in the whole
firmly by these presents to sealed with our Seals Dated the Nineteenth
day of January Anno Domini 1749.
The Condition of this obligation is such that
off the above bounden Maria Christy ------Administrator all and Singular
the goods Chattles rights and Credits which were of Henry Christ, Deceased
do make, cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular
the goods, Chattles rights and credits which were of the said deceased
which have, shall come, to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said
Maria Christy (dash) or unto the hands Possession or Knowledge of any other
person or persons for her and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be
exhibited the Register generals office at Philadelphia at or
before the Second day of March. Next and
further do make or Cause to be made a true and just account Calculation
or Reckoning of the said Administration at or before the Ninth Day of January
Anno Domini 1750 and all the Real and Residue of the Said Goods Chattles
Rights and Credits which shall be found remaining upon the said administration
account the same being for Examined and allowed of by the Orphans Court
of the County of Philadelphia Shall Deliver and pay to such person or persons
Respectively as the said Court by its Decree of Sentence Shall Limit and
appoint and if it hereafter appear that any last Will or Testament was
made by the said deceased and the Executor or Executors therein named to
Exhibit the same unto the said office making request to have it allowed
and approved of accordingly -- Mary Christy Being thereunto Requested do
Render and Deliver up Letter of Administration a probation of such testament
being first hand made in Register office then the above obligation bo be
void or else to be & remain in full force & virtue.
