The children of John FRAZIER and Mordicai FRAZIER are based on census data and may not be correct. It appears that John and Catherine (DUVALL) FRAZIER and Catherine's brother, John DUVALL, came to Hamilton Co. around 1831. Mordicai FRAZIER then came to Hamilton Co. later in the 1830s. Mordicai appears to have been married to Sarah (Sally) when he came to Hamilton Co. and they divorced in the 1840s and both remarried. ---------------------------------Parents--------------------------------- Caesar DUVALL b. 25 Aug 1758, Picardy, FRA m. ? d. c1835, SC bur. ? Hebert" Subject: Re: Frasier, Frazier Hi again! Catherine Duval's father was Caesar Duval, a resident in Newberry District who was born in August 25th, 1758 in Picardy in France. I am having someone in France research him now. He came over to fight in the Revolution and knew George Washington, General Lafayette and many other French officers. He went from the colonies to Jamaica tand was imprisoned there. He returned to France and then returned to the colonies and came in at Charleston and moved to Newberry District. His will doesn't mentioned your Precious Duvall only Catherine and her husband John and her brother, John. I would love to have the Census records on both Catherine and John Duvall. We have a cup that was handed down in the family that was Jeriot Duval's. It was always told to us that our Duval ancestor met his wife aboard ship when he was coming to the colonies. This is where we got her name, Jeriot. She was supposed to be redheaded. My grandmother had red highlights in her hair and they always wanted one of us to have the auburn hair with red highlights. I have always wondered about the Duvals who moved to Illiniois. He had several children among them: Catherine who married John Frazer. She and her brother John Duval petitioned the court for John Frazer to serve as their representative to his estate stating that they lived in Hamilton County, Illinois. In this petition her name was spelled Frasure. The clerk of circuit court was J. C Sockwood and a James Hall acknowledged the forgoing power of attorney in 1846, Mary married Peter Hawkins, my ancestor. Nancy married David Rikard. William Duval Charles Duval
