Uncle Charlie what a blessing you must have been to your parents when you arrived, their first son.  The names they chose for you would indicate the great pride they had. Naming you Charles for your father and your mother's father. Moritz was definitely bestowed upon you for your mother's brother and the many ancestors of her father that carried that name.

Aunt Reva as you were the first daughter-in-law for my grandparents I know that you were very special. There was a special bond between grandmother Meta and you; this was evident when you reminisced about her after she was gone. You remarked that whenever there was a difference between you and Uncle Charlie that grandmother would always side with you. It showed when you talked about her that there was a mutual love and respect for each other.

Uncle Charlie there was a deep love between you and your parents and your siblings. Whenever you visited Phoenix with your family you would always bring grandmother something special and would always visit each and every one of your brothers and sisters. That love was certainly returned, you were always affectionately known as "Charlie Boy" to them.

Even though you left Phoenix to spend most of your life in California I believe your heart always remained here in Phoenix and the heritage that was so much a part of you.

I know there was a great devotion that you had for each other and to your two wonderful children. I know that aunt Reva said to me, after you had left us Uncle Charlie, that God had given her the most wonderful husband. Because God was in the center of your marriage and the devotion you had for Him, bonded your family together.

Uncle Charlie you were the first son born to our grandparents and the first son to depart from this family. But you and your lovely wife Reva have never departed from the hearts of our family.
