AND
MY TRIBUTE
TO
MY UNCLE
WILLIAM WESLEY OLIN

"IN LOVING MEMORY"
Born: July 24, 1898
Died: September 28, 1946

My dear uncle how wonderful it would have been to know you. I was so very young when you departed from this world. I have read about you in Grandmother Olin's diary, she told all about the daily events on your chicken ranch and about your wedding day. The most important entry was the one where she told about your receiving the Holy Spirit and committing your life to God.

But the biggest revelation came after finally finding your three wonderful children. How proud you would be of them; they are so very special. They have told me wonderful things about you. Your son, Glenn, has told about how talented your were musically. How you could really beat out a tune with spoons and how you loved to dance. He also told me that your favorite song was "The Red River Valley". Your children have so many fond memories of you that they have been willing to share and now I can cherish them as they do.

I know there must be a musical group in heaven called the "Olin Musical Group", with my father playing the piano, Grandpa Olin singing and you playing the spoons. How I would love to hear that. Keep the music going so we can all join you some day.
