MY
AUNT
RUTH OLIN

IN LOVING MEMORY
OF MY AUNT
RUTH OLIN
Born:  July 24, 1908
Died:  July 21, 1909

My most precious aunt how dearly loved you must have been by your parents, Alfred and Emeline Olin.  Their only daughter and to have had you for such a brief time.  I know my grandmother Olin must have known the sorrow that comes from losing a daughter as she wrote the most beautiful poem in memory of my sister Kathleen for your brother, my father Frank and my mother Grace Olin.  I think this poem could have been written in memory of you to bring comfort to your mother and father, my grandparents.   So now in memory of you here is the poem written by your mother Emeline E. Ellsaesser Olin for Kathleen.

IN MEMORY OF RUTH OLIN

Dear, Little Darling,
our joy, our delight,

Has entered the mansions
of Glory on bright,

Free from all anguish,
pain, and despair,

Waiting to welcome us
home over there.

Safe with the Saviour,
safe in His arms,

Safe from all evil,
safe from alarm.

Short was your journey
He loved you best,

With Jesus forever,
how glorious your rest.

What must it be to gaze
on His face

Redeemed by His love,
transformed by His grace,

To know that the lambs
surrounding the throne,

Are like unto Thee;
His chosen, His own.

Dear Father, help us
to be true to the end,

Thru tests and thru trials
on Thee to depend.

Wherever Thou leadest,
whatever may come,

Help us to say ever,
Thy will to be done.

I know you joined your brother Ralph who also had such a brief stay here and both of you were there waiting for your parents and siblings to enter the mansions of glory with you.
