That is one of the reasons I wanted to write this tribute as my father had such great admiration for you.  In fact, you are the only uncle that I remember him talking about to me.  I am sure you came to visit him here in Phoenix and maybe that is one of the reasons he felt so close to you and the fact that you were close in age.  But he often mentioned about the acres of farm you had and how hard you worked.  Evidently you enjoyed this and I am sure you had a lot of support from your wonderful wife Mabel.  Although my father never talked about your wife, I know she had to have been a marvelous person to have been chosen by you.  My father always said you were so friendly, outgoing and loved all of the family.  He said family was so important to you.  You definitely made him feel very close to his mother's family even though he, his brothers and parents left your area when he was very young.

I would like to have the opportunity to thank you for being so kind to my father and hope some day I will have the privilege of meeting some of your descendents.  That will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about both of you and feel like I can be a part of the wonderful Ellsaesser Family.
