MY TRIBUTE
"IN LOVING MEMORY"
OF
CHARLES ALFRED OLIN
Born: November 2, 1867
Died: March 11, 1938

Grandfather you departed before I even got to know you before I was born. You had other grandchildren but I was not one of them. But thanks to the legacy your wife Emeline left I have been able to trace your roots and learn something of the wonderful and generous person that you were.
I think that you would be amazed to know that even though close to a hundred years has passed since you founded the town of Kismet, Kansas that you are still remembered there with awe and profound adoration. I have read how you founded this town by surveying your land and making it into tracts for homes for the families. How you started a school, a merchandise store and most importantly a three story bible college because of the compassion you had for the families in that community.
I also have heard of the bible study you started in your home after you moved your family to Arizona that developed into a church. And how you would sing in church that beautiful song that was a favorite of yours and my father, "The Last Mile Of The Way". Beloved grandfather you traveled the last mile of the way and traveled it well. I want you to know that I am in as much awe and admiration for all that you accomplished while you were here; as the people in that little town of Kismet, Kansas that you founded so long ago. Until that day when I will get the privilege of meeting you face to face, know that you are deeply loved by all of your family.
