BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

TO
MY TRIBUTE
TO MY UNCLE
CLARENCE PAUL OLIN

"IN LOVING MEMORY"
Born: October 29, 1912
Died: February 20, 1928

What a wonderful brother you were to my father, Frank Arnold Olin. He found it hard to talk about you as he was so close to you in age and in his heart. He missed you so very much and it was hard for him to accept. I know the sorrow he felt as my sons experienced the same sorrow when they lost their only sister Melanie. You were both about the same age, so young and full of life, it is so hard to understand. But I know you are both with our Heavenly Father with all of the family waiting for the rest of us to join you. It is very comforting to know that you and my parents were there to greet my daughter Melanie when she arrived in Heaven.
I have seen the pictures of you and my father when you were young boys, both of you in the top of a tree and one with your dogs. I can tell you both must of been a real challenge to Grandpa and Grandma Olin, so full of mischief. But I know they would have gladly met that challenge than to have lost you, especially since they had lost two of their children before you.
It would have been so wonderful to have known you and I know you would have been a great comfort for my father in his time of sorrows. You were never out of his thoughts, never forgotten. I am sure that you and my father would have remained close and would have been great companions throughout your lifes if you had remained with us.
I know there will be a great reunion coming soon and I will finally get to meet "My Uncle Clarence Paul Olin".
