My dear grand uncle Charles and grand aunt Hattie what a treasure you must have been to the Ellsaesser Family. My grandmother's youngest brother and I would imagine very dear to your family after loosing one of your older brothers.

I never had the privilege of learning much about both of you but I certainly have been very fortunate in having so many pictures of both of you and your children left to me by my father. It is so interesting to see the progression of your life. The picture as a young boy, then a young man. The pictures of both of you as a young couple, then with your oldest child, then with your oldest two children and a wonderful family picture with both of you and all of your children. It is very evident that you were very proud of your children and that family was definitely a priority for you.

Family means so much and your son Charles William Ellsaesser, Jr. evidently felt the same way as he has worked with other members of the Ellsaesser family in putting togther information on all of the Ellsaesser descendents.

I am so proud that I am a part of this wonderful family, "The Ellsaesser Family" and wish that I could have known both of you.
