In the name of God Amen.
The Twenty second day of October one thousand eight hundred and sixteen.
I John McCormick of the County of Fauquier & state of Virginia being week of body but of perfect mind and memory do constitute and Ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following Viz.   First it is my will and desire that all my Just debts and fimeral expenses shall be paid by my executors herein after named.  Also I give & bequeath to to my daughter Margaret the sum of thirty four pounds twelve shillings for the benefit of her & her heirs.  Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the sum of Thirty four pounds four shillings for the benefit of her and her heirs. Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Anna the sum of Forty four pounds four shillings for the benefit of her and her heirs.  Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Molly the sum of Forty two pounds two shillings for the benefit of her and her heirs.  Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah the sum of Forty three pounds nine shillings for the benefit of her and her heirs.  Also I give and bequeath to my son John's two children Randolph and Lucy the sum of thirty Eight pounds Eleven shillings to be equally divided between them, and if either of them should decease without legal issue it is my desire the surviving one shall inherit their estate left by me and if they should both decease without legal issue it is my will milt and desire that their estate left them by me shall return and be equally divided amongst all my children.  It is my will and desire that this bequest shall be kept in the hands of my executors until Randolph & Lucy become of age and by them managed to the Best advantage for the benefit of the above named children.  Also I give and bequeath to my son Stephen the sum of Fifteen Pounds three shillings for his benefit and his heirs.  Also It is my will and desire that that the balance of my estate not heretofore bequeathed shall after my decease be sold and the money thence arising from the sale shall be equally divided amongst all my children :  my son John's two children to come in as one share.
   Lastly I nominate and appoint my sons William and Stephen my executors to this my last will and
Testament.  In testimony where of I have hereunto see my hand & seal this day and date first above
written.

At a Court of Quarterly Sessions held for Fauquier County the 26th May 1817.

This Instrument of writing purporting to be the last will & Testament of John McCon-nick decd. was
produced into Court & proved by the oats of Thomas Stalland & John Crane Subscribing witnesses
