ISAAC SETTLE b. circa 1695, d. 1752,  in Richmond County, VA, son of JOHN SETTLE and MARY STROTHER, m. 24 September 1726 CHARITY BROWNE, b.ca 1700, d. by 1754.  The marriage is  recorded in St. Paul's Church Register, King George County, VA.

In 1734, ISAAC SETTLE purchased from his father-in-law, MAXFIELD BROWNE, 100 acres in Hanover Parish, King George CoVA.  Adjoining landowners were  JOHN SETTLE, SR., JOSEPH SETTLE, JOSEPH DODD, and CAPT. ISAAC SETTLE died in Prince William County VA, in 1752 naming sons JOSEPH SETTLE and ISAAC SETTLE, JR. as Executors.   At a court held in Prince William  on the 23rd October 1752, JOSEPH SETTLE, ISAAC SETTLE, BENJAMIN SETTLE, and JOHN ARNOLD acknowledged bond to administer the estate.  The will of  ISAAC SETTLE is not extant but two court orders naming his children as orphans not only provide the names of the children but indicate that CHARITY BROWNE SETTLE died shortly after ISAAC SETTLE about 1754.  The Court Orders named orphans of ISAAC SETTLE as follows: BENJAMIN MORGAN and CHARLES  MORGAN were appointed guardian to JEMIMA SUTTLE; JOSEPH SUTTLE appointed guardian to GEORGE SUTTLE and WILLIAM SUTTLE bonded by THOMAS GARNER and JOHN MARR;   JARRET [GERRARD]  WILKINSON made guardian of FRANCIS SUTTLE. [Prince William CoVA Order Book , P. 108-109, 119, 130.]  Fauquier County Court Orders, [1759-1763, p.33]  28 September 1759, summoned GEORGE SUTTLE, FRANCIS SUTTLE, WILLIAM SUTTLE, MARTHA SUTTLE, ALICE SUTTLE, and JEMIMA SUTTLE, heirs of  ISAAC SUTTLE  to appear  in court to answer a Bill of Chancery suit initiated against them by GERARD and ELIZABETH WILKINSON,  TAYLOR and MARY WILKINSON, BENJAMIN and PHOEBE MORGAN.
