Doris Euleta Welch Cosper, 87, a teacher, died Sunday, August 25, 2002,in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at River Oaks Baptist Church. Dr. Jim Lemons and the Rev. Ken Baldwin will officiate. Burial: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Live Oak  Cemetery in Bell County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.

Pallbearers at River Oaks Baptist Church will be, Bill Carrell, Jack Caudill, Benny Clanton, Johnny Gillen, Robert McKinney, Robert Strange and Rodney Tolbert. Pallbearers at Live Oak Cemetery will be, Bill Carrell, Benny Clanton, Kenneth Cosper, Willard Jack Cosper, Scott Cosper and Cecil Lynn Cosper.

Doris Euleta Welch Cosper was born July 4, 1915 in Moody to John Henry and Maude Welch. She attended Mary Hardin Baylor College, Sul Ross State University and the University of Texas. She was married to James W.Cosper Sr. May 26, 1939 in Killeen, by the Rev. T.J. Storey.

She taught school at Cedar Knoll School in Bell County and White Settlement I.S.D. She was a member of River Oaks Baptist Church, River Oaks Garden Club, National Congress P.T.A. and was president of Castleberry P.T.A.

Survivors: Husband of 63 years, James W. Cosper Sr.; children, Gloria Dunn and her husband, Tom, of Fort Worth, Linda Carrell of Fort Worth and Jim Cosper and his wife, Kay, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Janice Shields and her husband, Michael, of Fort Worth, Kenneth Dunn and his wife, Diana, of Fort Worth and Candice Carrell of The Woodlands; great grandchildren, Jamie McKinney, Kenny Dunn and Alysha Dunn; nieces and nephews and long time friend, Johnelle Gillen.
