He married Etta Francis Deavitt about 1887. Etta was born in Poestenkill, New York May 25, 1863. Etta was the daughter of George W. Deavitt and Catherine Stowels. Etta died about 1935. At 26 years of age Etta became the mother of George Washington Herrington in Troy, New York, February 25, 1890.

At 26 years of age Edwin became the father of George Washington Herrington in Troy, New York, February 25, 1890.

Edwin Lester Herrington and Etta Francis Deavitt had the following child:
