Please note that the David Jarvis and wife Sophia Jarvis buried at the
Bethpage Friends Cemetery are:

David Jarvis, was the son of Jonathan Jarvis and Deborah Whitson. David
was born 8 December 1794, died 22 November 1867, married 4 March 1815,
Charity Whitman, born 11 August 1794, died 9 February 1832. David
married second, 5 March 1834, Sophia Odell, nbd, died 29 September 1874.
David lived in Sweet Hollow, near Bethpage.

David Jarvis had no children by Sophia Odell (whose parentage is unknown
to me). Among his children by Charity Whitman was Amanda J. Jarvis.
Amanda married Hiram Crossman, of Half Hollow Hills. Amanda and Hiram
removed to Brooklyn sometime after marriage. Among their children was
Sabra Louisa Crossman, my great great grandmother, the wife of Nicholas
Linington Duryea, of New Lots, Brooklyn. Amanda and Hiram are buried in
Cypress Hills Cemetery, Kings County, Long Island. Sabra L. Crossman and
Nicholas Linington Duryea are buried in the nearby New Lots Private
Cemetery, New Lots, Kings County, Long Island.
