Henry William METCALFE,1 son of Anthony METCALF ( - ) and Margaret METCALFE** ( - ), was born in 1815 in Kildare, Ireland.2 {individual} was convicted on 23 March 1839 in Kildare.Henry was sentanced to 7 years transportation.1 Henry migrated from Dublin, Ireland to Port Jackson, NSW, Australia arriving on 27 September 1839. Henry was a convict aboard the Ship Blenheim.1 On 12 December 1843 he was granted Ticket of Leave . His Certificate of Freedom was on 21 April 1847 in NSW, Australia.1 He married Catherine AKERS on 1 June 1848 at St Francis, Roman Catholic Church in Wollongong, NSW .1 He died on 23 October 1882 aged 67 at Blind Creek in Burrowa, NSW.1
Henry & Catherine were in the Harden/Murrumburrah area between 1864-1867.1
Catherine AKERS1 was the daughter of Thomas AKERS (1798-1881) and Lucia DAY (1802-1852). She and Henry William METCALFE had the following children:
