JACOBS ROBERT

Robert Jacobs was b. in County Wicklow, Ireland He was a farmer in Ireland, and came to New York State from Ireland In 1840 he came to Canada from New York State and purchased in Puslinch 100 acres, lot 30, rear con. 7, upon which he lived until his death. He was a hard worker; an Anglican in religion, and Conservative in politics. He m. Ann Bailey. Issue: William (d.) and Benjamin.

Benjamin was six months old when he came with his parents to Puslinch. He has always lived on the homestead, and is engaged in mixed farming, and, like his father, is an industrious man. He is a Methodist, and a Conservative. He m. Mary Mast. Issue: Mrs. John M. Clark, Puslinch; Mrs. Telford, Morriston; Mrs. Fahrner, Puslinch, and Samuel, at home.
