deCARTERET, PHILIP

Word of the death at Bel Air, Channel Islands, of Mr. Philip deCarteret, on September 9, 1915 was received with genuine regret by the older residents of Guelph.

For several years he kept a fancy goods store on Lower Wyndham Street, and lived in a frame house which he built, in "Mountaintown."

While in Guelph he and his wife were very active members of Norfolk Street Methodist Church, and had many friends in the City. From Guelph he went to Victoria, B.C., and from there to his old home in the Channel Islands.
