The church joined with the other Methodist Churches of the city in union evangelistic services last October (1900) to mark the Twentieth Century movement. The Watchnight service to mark the incoming of the twentieth century was attended by 500 people, and was season of great profit.

Rev. F.A. Cassidy, M.A., was invited to remain a third year as pastor of the church and was reappointed by the Conference. In order to present a full yearly statement of finances to the May district meeting, it was decided to close the financial year on April 30 instead of May 31, as heretofore; the accounts accordingly cover only eleven months this year. Mr. John Crowe was the lay representative of the board at the District meeting, while Dr. Mills, Mr. Crowe, and Judge Jamieson, were the lay Conference representatives

The number of members in full standing returned at the May, 1901 District meeting was 603; on trial, 20; total, 623. There had been received during the year - on trial, 31; by letter, 38; total, 69. There were 9 deaths and 18 removals. The number of baptisms was 24 - infants 16, adults 8; marriages 19, burials 15.
