William Wheeler from Wheeler heirs Deed
This indenture made the second day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred fifty and eight Between Robert Meredith and Rachel, his wife, Abraham Bush, John Wheeler jr. and Keziah, his wife, John Killingsworth,, John Wheeler sr., William Wheeler jr., Elizabeth Wheeler, William Dewhees, Cornelius Dewhees and Ester, his wife, Jonathan Dewhees and Ezekiah Dewhees all of this government and heirs and legal representatives of John Wheeler dec'd of the one part and William Wheeler, Eldest son and proper heir at law of the afs'd John Wheeler dec'd of the county of Sussex of the other part Witness that the afs'd Robert Meredith and Rachel his wife Abraham Bush John Wheeler jun Keziah his wife John Killingsworth John Wheeler Sr William Wheeler jun Elizabeth Wheeler William Dewhees Cornelius Dewhees and Esther his wife Jonathan Dewhees and Ezekiah Dewhees for and in consideration of fifty Pounds to them the receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge and themselves therewith fully contented and paid [have] Remise Released and quit claimed and by those Present do Remise Release and quit claim unto the afs'd William Wheeler his heirs and assigns forever all the Right Tittle Interest claim or Demand [whatsoever] as well in Equity as by heirship and Law which they have of in and to a certain Tract or Parcel of Land which the afs'd John Wheeler dec'd dyed possessed of called and known by the name of Cullens Purchase which Tract of Land is situated on the South Side of Mispillion and in the County of Sussex afs'd together with all the premises and appurtenances to the Same belonging or anywise appertaining To have and to hold the s'd Tract of Land and premisses and every part thereof unto the afs'd William Wheeler his heirs and assigns forever and to the only proper use and [beheaf] of him the s'd William Wheeler his heirs and assigns forever and the afs'd Robert Meredith and Rachel his wife Abraham Bush John Wheeler jun and Keziah his wife John Killingsworth John Wheeler 3rd William Wheeler jr Elizabeth Wheeler William Dewhess Cornelius Dewhees and Esther his wife Jonathan Dewhees and Ezekiah Dewhees for them And their heirs do covenant and grant to and with the s'd William Wheeler his heirs and assigns that they have not done or suffered to be done any other Act or Acts Deed or Deeds Device or devices in the Law whereby the s'd land may become discharged or incumberedby them and their heirs and the afs'd Robert Meredith and Rachel his wife Abraham Bush John Wheeler jr and Keziah his wife John Killingsworth John Wheeler senr William Wheeler Elizabeth Wheeler William Dewhees Cornelius Dewhees and Esther his wife Jonathan Dewhees and Ezekiah Dewhees ddoth for them and Each of them Nominate and Appoint Mark Smith Attorney at Law to appear for them and each of them at any Court of Common Pleas to be held at Lewes Town in the County afs'd and then and there for them and each of them to Acknowledge the above Deed According to the Laws and Usages of the Government of New castle, Kent and Sussex Inn Witness whereof the s'd Robert Meredith and Rachel his wife Abraham Bush John Wheeler jr and Keziah his wife John Killingsworth John Wheeler sr William Wheeler jr Elizabeth Wheeler William Dewhees Cornelius Dewhees and Esther his wife Jonathan Dewhees and Ezekiah Dewhees have hereto put their hands and Seals the day and Year above written
