"Deed Job Meredith from Davis Meredith & Wife

This indenture made the eleventh day of April in the year of our lord one

thousand eight hundred and eight Between Davis Merridith of Monongahala

County in the state of Virginia and Ann his wife of the one part and Job

Merridith of Murderkill hundred and State of Delaware of the other part.

Whereas Job Merridith late of Murderkill hundred died intestate previous to

the twenty ninth day of January in the year of our lord one thousand seven

hundred and ninety four being in his lifetime and at the time of his death

lawfully seized in his _____ as of ___ lands in a certain plantation tract or

parcel of land situated in the forrest of Murderkill hundred in the County

and State aforesaid containing two hundred and fifty four acres more or less

and whereas by virtue of an order of the Orphans court of Kent County

aforesaid bearing date the sixth day of August in the year of our lord one

thousand seven hundred and ninety four ninety one acres and fifty five

perches of the land and premises aforesaid was in due form

___________________________of the said Job Merridith deceased as and for her

_____________ to the freeholders action on said order of Court with a plot

and survey of said lands and premises now recommending of accord in said

Court _ay more fully ___ at large appear, and whereas the widow of the said

Job Merridith hath since departed this life and by the proper proceedings in

the Orphans Court of Kent County aforesaid that part of the lands and

premises of the said Job Merridith dec laid off and allotted to his widow as

and for her dower for life, has been valued be freeholders for that purpose

appointed by said Court, of the sum of five dollars per acre. Reference to

the return of the freeholders now remaining of record in said court may more

fully as they appear and the said Davis Merridith eldest son of the said Job

Merridith dec. to whom the right of accepting the lands and premises

aforesaid belongith, being now about to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance

to the said Job Merridith the younger one other son of the said Job Merridith

deceased for all the rights and title in the lands and premises aforesaid" -
