     OBIT: Salida Mail, Chaffee, CO, 1895; "Mr. E.H. Strepey died at his residence on Third street friday afternoon of consumption. Mr. Strepey was one of Salidas's early settlers and is well known throughout this section. For some
time past he had lived at Villa Grove but returned to this place three weeks ago. He was 48 years of age and leaves a wife and son seven years old. The funeral services were held saturday at the residence, conducted by Rev. Martin
of the Baptist church. The interment took place immediately after at Fairview cemetery. Expressions of sincere thanks to all friends etc., Mrs. E.H.Strepey, Mr. L.S. Strepey.

17 Mar 1903; "Frank Teeters, who was taken ill with pneumonia last thursday,
died at his home on lower mesa on sunday morning at 10 o'clock. The deceased
was born in West Virginia in 1861, came to Colorado in 1888 and has been
employed in and about Salida for fifteen years. . . . He leaves a wife and two
children. Mr. teeters was a member of the Woodmen of the World and carried a
policy in that order for $3,000. The funeral services will be held at the
Church of the Ascension at 3 p.m. today and the burial service will be
conducted by the Woodmen. Mrs. Shirey, a sister of the deceased, arrived in
the city yesterday mourning from Denver and will be in attendance upon the
funeral service and burial."
