Frank Joshua Rickmar was born 22 June 1886 at Graniteville, Iron County, Missouri. He was the son of John and Clementine (Henson) Rickmar. He worked for over 30 years at the roundhouse in Bismarck for the Missouri Pacific Railroad.

He married 15 November 1914 at Bismarck, St. Francois County, Missouri, to Alice Lavina Sago. She was born 16 September 1891 in St. Francois County, Missouri, the daughter of Frank and Rosa Anne (Green) Sago.

Frank Rickmar died 3 April 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri. Alice (Sago) Rickmar died 15 November 1977 at Farmington, St. Francois County, Missouri. They were both buried at the Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck, St. Francois County, Missouri.

They were the parents of six children:

(1) Juanita Marie Rickmar  was born 17 August 1915 at Bismarck, St. Francois County, Missouri. She was first married to Leonard Mathews. She married second to Robert Covington.

(2) Albert Eugene Rickmar was born 1918 at Bismarck, St. Francois County, Missouri. He married Louise Ellis.

(3) Orville Franklin Rickmar  was born 14 July 1920 at Bismarck, St. Francois County, Missouri. He married Dollie Ellis.

(4) Thelma Ellen Rickmar was born 1923 at Bismarck, St. Francois County, Missouri. She married William Glenn.

(5) Gloria Bernice Rickmar was born 1925 at Bismarck, St. Francois County, Missouri. She married Frank Runyan, Paul Elders, and Donald Hankins.

(6) Shirley Rickmar. Legal ward and niece. Raised from infancy. Married Bob Underwood, Doe Marler, and Joe Brewer.
