Hester A. Fiscus

Marriage License

Hester A. Fiscus was born to Abraham L. Fiscus and his wife, Mary J. on November 4, 1860 in Macoupin County, Illinois.

She was the first child born, but the family would grow, as Issac Fiscus and Arthur Fiscus would be born in Iowa. By 1870, the Federal Census puts the Fiscus Family in Burt County, Nebraska, but birth records show they were there before 1968 when Clara was born. Fay was born a year later.

Hester apparently was married a year before she married George Washington Young. On March 17, 1878 in Monona County, Iowa she married Albert Phillips. I don't know anything at all about Albert Phillips, but eleven months later on February 9, 1879 she married George Washington Young, also in Monona County, Iowa

Shannon Young sent me this copy of the marriage license between George and Hester A. Fiscus. They were married on February 9, 1879 in Monona County, Iowa
