ESKRIDGE - Mrs. Jessie Raine Arnold, 74, Eskridge, died late Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1988, at a Topeka hospital. She suffered from cancer since 1972.

She was born Jan. 16, 1913, at Maple Hill, the daughter of Joseph and Addie Cowan Raine. She lived the past 40 years in Eskridge. Mrs. Arnold was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eskridge. She was married to Wilford W. Arnold on May 16, 1935, at Salida, Colo. He died Aug. 27, 1983.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Winifred Scarrow, New Cambria, and Mrs. Margaret Furman, Eskridge; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Maple Hill Community Congregational Church. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. Mrs. Arnold will lie in state from noon until 7 p.m. today at Callahan Funeral Home in Eskridge, where the family will meet with friends after 7 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
