Francis C. "Ike" Raine, 81, 2929 Minnesota, died Wednesday, May 8, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Raine currently was a parking attendant at the Medical Arts Building in Topeka.

He was born Jan. 16, 1904, in the Wells Creek community south of Belvue, the son of Joseph and Addie Cowan Raine.

Mr. Raine was a member of the Community Congregational Church in Maple Hill and a life member of the Police Athletic League in Topeka.

He was married to Murrell Cox 63 years ago near Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Naomi Brooks, Topeka, and Mrs. Jackie Powell, Hays; four sons, Francis Raine, Citrus Springs, Florida; Lyle Raine, Maple Hill; Joe Raine, Topeka; and Steve Raine, Auburn; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Arnold, Eskridge; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Mr. Raine will lie in state from noon today until 11 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gable Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Congregational Church, Maple Hill, 66507.
