- Also according to the 1900 census, a niece, Viola Bell, lived with them. Unknown whether she is George's or Hester's niece.

Geo. Cowan and wife of Colorado City, are spending a month with Grandpa and Grandma Raine. Their twin girls about a year old are beauties and the whole family is justly proud of them. Mr. Cowan is a railroad man and doing well in Colorado. Alma Enterprise, 4 April 1902
George Cowan and wife and twin daughters, also Mrs. Morgan, of Colorado Springs, are making a 10 days visit to Mrs. Geo. Raine, Sr. and friends in Kaw.
