Benjamin Franklin Mead was born on December 12, 1834 in Sheridan, Chautanqua County, New York to Edmund Mead and Susan Doty. Susan is the 4th Great Granddaughter of  Edward Doty who as a young man came to this country aboard  the Mayflower, arriving on December 21, 1620

Blanche Amelia Mead is the 8th Great Granddaughter of Edward Doty and Faith Clark, Edward Doty's wife. Blanche is also the Great Granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin Mead and Emma Louise Pierson who were married on February 5, 1857.

They had one child, Pierson Daniel born November 2, 1858 in Newark, New Jersey. Pierson married Alice Buckley of Jersey City, New Jersey on September 8, 1878 and had 3 children.

1. Emma L. born May 1882
2. Franklin Eugene born February 6, 1885
3. Pierson D. Jr. born July 1890

Alice died prior to the 1900 census as her name does not appear.

Franklin Eugene was born on February 6, 1885 in Jersey City, New Jersey and died January 20, 1938 in Hackensak, New Jersey.
Franklin first married Alice Davis Heard born July 3, 1880 and died November 5, 1923. They were married  in 1906 and had four children.

1. Norma Alyce born May 13, 1908, died Dec 22, 1908
2. Alexander Franklin born January 10, 1910, died August 19, 1910
3. Alma Denney,  born June 4, 1911 and died August 1, 1992
4. One child who died during child birth.

Alma Denney married second Abram Cornelius Holdrum born September 13, 1911 in Hillsdale, Bergen County, New Jersey and died December 10, 1993 in Rio Ranches, Sandoval County, New Mexico.
They were married on June 3, 1950 in Bergenfield, Bergen County, New Jersey.
They had one child Amie Everdell born May 17, 1951. She married Dale Stewart Mc Donald born July 31, 1947 in Endicott, Broome County, New York on September 2, 1972 at Oak Ridge, Morris County, New Jersey. 
One Child: Brian Stewart born December 20, 1985

Franklin married second Lilia E. Bomm born April 13, 1890 in Westwood, New Jersey. Lilia died on January 28, 1974 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. There were two children born of this marriage:

1. Blanche Amelia born May 15, 1927
2. Daniel Franklin born August 27, 1930

These pictures were taken with an old box camera which was popular in those days.  We used the same camera on our honeymoon to Pennsylvania in 1947 and also to Canada in the summer of 1948.
