Waterbury Center Cemetery is located on the east side of Rte. 100 in Waterbury Center. The earliest burial is dated 1820. The cemetery has about 500 burials and is now seldom used. It is in fair condition, but many stones are broken and no longer legible.
South of the cemetery on the opposite side of the road is the first Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory. You might want to stop there after visiting the cemetery.
Note that this page shows the tombstones in their relative
positions. Clicking on the tombstone icon will open a window
showing its transcription. Numbered tombstones refer to Prescotts
and relatives, in burial order, whose names are listed below the stones.
Selecting those names will move you to that individual in the family
narrative. [Note that names not in italics are descendants of Lyman
Prescott, son of Jeremy and Betsey Prescott. This family is not yet included
in the family narrative.] The slide show allows you to view the cemetery's
appearance in "burial order."
