Military Records

Service in the military was not only an important part of an individual's life, it also generated a large number of records for those of us researching the individual. The military information found on these pages is divided first by location of the principal family and then by the war in which the individual fought or their peacetime service. The individual names are listed alphabetically followed by their unit or units. To view information about each subject, click on that person's name. If this site includes information on the unit, that unit's name functions as a hyperlink. In some cases, transcriptions or scanned documents of service records, pension records, tombstones, and obituaries are also included. If so, links will be given to those pages. Note that links to these records are also found in each individual's biography.
