First Census of Hampshire County, 1782
Abraham Johnson, Gent., was appointed to list the "tithhables" in the Patterson Creek District. His list shows that there were ninety-eight heads of families and six hundred and twenty-two inhabitants living in the Patterson Creek Valley at this early date.
