Louis(1) Heise was born on 15 Aug 1841 in Liebenau, Hannover, the son of Ludwig Karl Heise and Bertha Magdalena Rabba. His birthdate is calculated from his age provided at the time of death.(1) He married Margaretha Charlotte Otto before 1864. He died on 28 Jan 1868 in Baltimore City. He is noted to be from Liebenau, Hannover and his age was 26 years 5 months and 13 days.(1) He was buried on 30 Jan 1868. His place of interment is not listed in the church register.(1)

When his father Ludwig Karl Heise died in 1897, an obituary mentioned that his son Louis pre-deceased him and was the father of one daughter, Mrs. Louise Bowie who lived in Washington, DC with her four children.(2)

Children of Louis(1) Heise and Margaretha Charlotte Otto were as follows:

Elisabetha Emilie(2) was born on 1 Nov 1864, daughter of Louis Heise and Margaretha Charlotte Otto. Her birthdate is calculated from the age provided at death.(3) She died on 12 Dec 1864 at Baltimore City.(3)

Louise Bertha was born on 13 Apr 1866 in Baltimore City, daughter of Louis Heise and Margaretha Charlotte Otto.(4) When her paternal grandfather died in 1897, his obituary mentioned Mrs. Louise Bowie as the daughter of his deceased son Louis. She was the mother of four children and lived in Washington, DC.(2)

Friedrich Gottfried was born on 22 Dec 1867 in Baltimore City, son of Louis Heise and Margaretha Charlotte Otto. This birthdate is calculated from his age provided at death.(5) Using his age provided in what appears to be a duplicate burial entry, Friedrich Gottfried Heise was born on circa 7 Jun 1867 in Baltimore City, son of Louis Heise and Margaretha Charlotte Otto.(6) He died on 7 Sep 1876 at Baltimore City.6 He was buried on 8 Sep 1876. His age is provided as 9 years 3 months and five days. On the next page, which appears to be the original entry, there is a duplicate record of this burial, exact in all ways except the age which is given as 8 years 8 months and 11 days.(7,5)
