1. John McVey was born in 1765 in VA. He died in 1822 in Todd Co., Kentudky. He had an estate probated on 11 Nov 1822 in Todd Co., Kentudky.

He was married to Rachel in 1793. Rachel was born in 1769 in VA. She died on 29 Jan 1853 in Lee Co., Iowa. She was buried in Lee Co., Iowa Hoover Cem.. John McVey and Rachel had the following children:

3 ii. Thomas R. McVey was born in 1798 in Tennessee. He appeared on the census in 1820 in Todd Co., Kentudky. He appeared on the census in 1830 in Madison Co., Illinois. He served in the military in Black Hawk War.
