Crawford and Martha Smith.1,2 Celia Carrie Crawford married Dr. Daniel DeVinney Rose, son of Robert Rose and Sarah Miller, on 15 August 1880 at Warren Co., Indiana.3,4 Celia Carrie Crawford and Dr. Daniel DeVinney Rose were divorced on 16 September 1893.3
     Celia Carrie Crawford and Martha Smith were appointed as guardian of Martha Smith on 27 October 1868 at Warren County, Indiana.5 Celia Carrie Crawford purchased from James D. Dent and Salle M. Dent, his wife, of Ford County, Kansas for $1100 lot 6, block 56 on 3 February 1887 at Dodge City, Ford Co. KS, Kansas.6 She and Dr. Daniel DeVinney Rose sold land to Annie R.      Elisha Vance Briggs was born on 30 November 1835 at Ohio.1,2 He married Mary Elizabeth Crawford, daughter of Nelson G. Crawford and Martha Smith, on 7 February 1858 at Warren, Indiana.3,4,5,6 Elisha Vance Briggs died on 29 December 1922 at soldier's home, Danville, Vermillion Co., Illinois, at age 87.2,1,6 He was buried after 29 December 1922 at Section 3, Highland Cemetery, Warren County, Indiana.7
     He served Co. F 72nd Indiana between 7 July 1863 and 6 July 1865.2,8,6 He was farmer at Warren County, Indiana.2 He witnessed the appointment of Martha Smith as guardian of Celia Carrie Crawford on 27 October 1868 at Warren County, Indiana.9

     Horatio Hammond was born on 24 October 1798 at Ohio.1,2 He was the son of Jason Hammond and Rachel Hale.3,1,4 Horatio Hammond married Louisa Fisk, daughter of Jonathan Fisk and Mary Arnold, on 14 April 1825 at Medina, Ohio.5,6,1,2 Horatio Hammond died on 7 November 1879 at Knox County, Illinois, at age 81.7,2,8 He was buried on 8 November 1879 at Ontario Township, Knox County, Illinois.7,8
      About circa 1826, Horatio Hammond resided on a farm a mile west of Bath, Ohio.2 He and Lewis Hammond along with Jonathan Hale were the first directors of public school at Bath, Ohio.2 Horatio Hammond, along with Royal Hammond, conducted a store circa 1835 at Hammond's Corners, Ohio.2 He resided on 24 May 1839 at Alexandria, Ohio, where he engaged in milling flour and also had a saw mill.2 In August 1868 Horatio Hammond and Louisa Fisk migrated to at Knox County, Illinois, from Ohio.
