     Benjamin Rush was born on 10 April 1752 at Culpeper County, Virginia.1 He was the son of Crafford Rush and Mary Brile.2 Benjamin Rush married Dorcas Vickory, daughter of Marmaduke Vickory and Elizabeth (?), on 12 January 1772 at Randolph Co., North Carolina.1 Benjamin Rush died after 23 July 1819 at Randolph Co., North Carolina.1 His estate was probated in November 1819 at Randolph County, North Carolina.1
     He resided circa 1754 at Randolph County, North Carolina.1 He was witness was witness for will of Conrad Broyl on 30 September 1783 at Randolph County, North Carolina.3 He purchased land being 110 acres on the hollows of Caraway that was part of a tract granted to Conrad Broils by Henry E. H. Cullah and willed to Adam Broils which he sold to Benjamin Rush for 70 pounds on 5 October 1787 at Randolph County, North Carolina.4 He resided in 1788 at Randolph County, North Carolina, where Benjamin Rush signed petition to keep county courthouse at crossroads -- the intersection of the Fayetteville-Salem, Salisbury-Hillsborough stage roads. Petition was presented to North Carolina General Assembly.5 He purchased land being 100 acres on Coatley's Creek from Adam Broile for 100 pounds on 4 November 1788 at Randolph County, North Carolina.6 He left a will on 23 July 1819 at Randolph County, North Carolina.7,1
