Davis on 10 May 1888 at Crandall, Coffey County, Kansas.5,6 Sarah Jane Thompson died on 17 August 1930 at Neosho Township, Coffey County, Kansas, at age 87.1 She was buried at Big Creek, Coffey County, Kansas.1

He was the son of Frederick Briles.1 John Briles married Ann Nancy Beckerdite, daughter of Richard Beckerdite, in 1795.2 John Briles married Rachel Beckerdite, daughter of Richard Beckerdite, on 16 November 1845 at Randolph County, North Carolina.3,4,2,5 John Briles died before November 1855 at Randolph Co., North Carolina.
     He filed land entry papers with the State of North Carolina for land being 100 acres on the waters of the Caraway for 30 shillings on 31 March 1791 at Randolph County, North Carolina.6 He was Methodist.2 He purchased land being 91 acres for 600 pounds from Jonas Hoover, administrator of Andrew Hoover estate. On 1 August 1801 at Randolph County, North Carolina. Said 91 acres being part of plantation where John Hoover now lives lying on both sides of S. fork of Uharee being part of a tract of land Andrew Hoover bought of Henry E. McCulloh.      Frederick Briles died at Randolph Co., North Carolina. He was born circa 1740 at Orange County, Virginia. He was the son of Conrad Broil and Margaret Rush.1,2
     Frederick Briles filed land entry papers for 100 acres on Coally's Creek Carraway from the State of North Carolina on 18 August 1787 at Randolph County, North Carolina.3 He resided in 1788 at Randolph County, North Carolina, where Frederick Briles signed petition to keep county courthouse at crossroads -- the intersection of the Fayetteville-Salem, Salisbury-Hillsborough stage roads. Conrad Broil (M)

     Conrad Broil married Margaret Rush.1 Conrad Broil was the son of John Broyles and Ursula Ruop.2 Conrad Broil died in 1784 at Randolph County, North Carolina.1 His estate was probated in December 1784 at Randolph County, North Carolina.3
     He purchased as Courtly Broyl 100 acres fro 5 shillings from Matthias Castler on 18 October 1739 at Orange County, Virginia.1 He and Margaret Rush were sued for trespass by George Moyer, Jr in 1744 at Virginia. This document identified him as Conrad Broyle.1 Conrad Broil and Hans Jacob Breuel sell their share of their father's land on 25 July 1744 at Virginia.1 Conrad Broil was appointed as Courtley Broyle to assist George Clore as road overseer in 1747 at Virginia.1 He sold land being land purchased of Matthias Castler in 1739 on 20 June 1754 at Orange County, Virginia.1 He and Margaret Rush sold land being 100 acres to Michael Yager on 20 June 1754 at Virginia. In this deed he was identified as Courtley Broyl.1,4 Conrad Broil filed land entry papers land being 200 acres in tract #10 adjoining John Sheppard on 11 February 1763 at Rowan County, North Carolina.5,6 He purchased land being 200 acres in tract #10 next to John Sheppard corssing a fork of Sheppards Creek then crossing the main fork of said creek for 19 pounds between 11 February 1764 and 1765 at Rowan County, North Carolina.7 He left a will on 30 September 1783 at Randolph County, North Carolina.3
