born in East Layton in 1774, baptised 15 May 1774, the son of Thomas
and Catherine Clement of East Layton.
He married Margaret Brown. * The PR's for Gilling, Yks show -
William Clement of the Parish of Kirby Ravensworth, bachelor and Margaret Brown of this Parish, spinster were married in this Church by Banns this second day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and eleven.
