Thomas Wallis 1819

Christened at St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington on the 30th of July 1819, son of Thomas Wallis and Elizabeth Grieves.
Married Ann Wilson at Holy Trinity Church Darlington on the 24th of February 1849. Thomas was living at Skinnergate and employed as a tailor.

In 1851 was living at 10 Freemans Place and employed as a tailor:-

Ann 30 wife born D'ton
Jane Ann Wallis 1 daughter born D'ton

By 1861 was living with wife and 4 children at 10 Freemans Place Darlington and employed as a tailor:-
Thomas Wallis aged 41 tailor b Darlington
Ann wife aged 40 
Ann daughter aged 7 
Richard son aged 5 
Thomas son aged 2 
Sarah daughter aged 2? weeks/months (unclear)

Died at Freeman's Place, Darlington in September 1879.
Buried at Darlington's West Cemetery on the 26th of September 1879. H MM 69

Thomas and Ann had at least 6 children:-

bullet Jane Ann Wallis- Born in Darlington, the eldest child of Thomas Wallis and Ann. Baptised at St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington on the 1st of February 1850.
The 1851 census shows Jane Ann living with her parents at 10 Freeman's Place, Darlington.
Jane Ann died , in Darlington, in the December quarter of 1852.
Buried at St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington on the 14th of November 1852, aged 2 years and 10 months.
bullet Mary Elizabeth Wallis- Baptised at Holy Trinity on 30th May 1852, daughter of Thomas Wallis a tailor and wife Ann.
The St Catherine's Index shows the death of a Mary Elizabeth Wallis in the March quarter of 1853. Buried at St Cuthbert's on the 10th January 1853.

Ann died at Freeman's Place, Darlington in 1899 aged 79. She was buried at the towns West Cemetery on the 21st of July 1899.
