The following information has been given by Rae Meyer nee Weatherill the Great Grand Daughter of Ruth Wallis.

  Rae and Johann Meyer

Ruth Wallis was born in Darlington in 1821. I have located her baptism at St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington on the 22nd of April 1821, the daughter of Thomas Wallis and Elizabeth Grieves.

Married Thomas Weatherill at Darlington on the 31st of May 1841 (IGI).

Ruth and Thomas had 11 children:-

bulletElizabeth Weatherill - Born on the 9th of August 1841 in Darlington, County Durham. Died on the 22nd of September 1863 in Victoria, Australia.
bulletFanny Weatherill - Born on the 7th of August 1843 in Hanover Square, London. Died on the 3rd of November 1845 in London.
bulletGeorgina Weatherill - Born on the 12th of February 1845 in Kentish Town, London. Married George Colvin Mitchell in 1867 in Victoria, Australia. Died on the 10th of April 1904 in Victoria, Australia and buried the next day.
bulletWilliam Weatherill-  Born on the 21st of December 1846 in Kentish Town, London. Died on the 13th of March 1847 in London.

Robert and Lillian had 2 children - Rae and Roy. 5 George Alexander Weatherill born 23 May 1901 in Hawthorne, Australia, married Emily Carr on 26 November 1921 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, died on 27 February 1986 in Bulleen, Victoria, Australia.
