19 December 2005 Elizabeth Ann Hoggett (lily) Born on the 24th of May 1886 and baptised on the 30th by William Kirkham, sponsors Matthew Hoggett and Isabella Scarre, the daughter of Edmund Thomas Hoggett and Isabella Dove. Named Elizabeth Ann but went by the name Lily.
1901 census for 1 South View, Barnard Castle shows a Lily Hoggett aged 14, born Lartington working as a domestic servant for Henry Mudie?, solicitor, wife and 2 young children.
Lily died in hospital on the 27th of February
1929. She was buried at Darlington's West Cemetery on the 2nd of
March 1929, grave P 7E 143. The ceremony was performed by the
Reverend W Malone. The inscription on the headstone reads:-
