5 - John Heighly - The name of Heighly occurs in the year 1628. There have been
20 baptisms and 9 Burials of this name. No regular pedigree of this family can
be extracted from the register....... see a Thomas Heighly who died in the year
1758 left his estate to Dinah wife of John Hanby of this place, who was the
natural daughter of his sister Mary Heighly. At John Hanby's death anno 1797 the
aforesaid estate fell to Thomas Lumley and George Jackson his Grandsons - but
prior to his death J Lumley had sold the reversion of his share to Mr Ralph Wall
of London. Mr Wall afterward bought G Jacksons share
7 - John Hanby - This family does not appear to have had been registered
here......or dwelt here..... the late ? Hanby was seated at ....twood - Mrs
Hanby the present owner dwells at Barnard Castle.
