James Greave Wallis
Christened at St
Cuthberts Church Darlington on the 12th of November 1837, the son of Thomas
Wallis and Elizabeth
Grieves.
In 1841he was living with his family at Bondgate, Darlington.
In 1851he was living with his parents and sisters Sarah and Jane at 69 Bondgate,
Darlington and, at the age of 13, was described as a whitesmith.
Holy Trinity Parish
Registers, Darlington show the marriage on the 31st of December 1859 of James
Wallis- engine fitter of Archer street- father Thomas, a butcher marrying
Susannah Jemmison of Blackwell- father William, a gardener. Witnesses were
Robert Wallis and Elizabeth Jemmison.
The IGI shows the birth
of Robert Henry Wallis on the 16th of March 1864 to James Wallis and
Susannah .
Burial records for Darlington's West Cemetery show the burial on 22 March 1864
of Robert Henry Wallis 4 days, died Edward Street, Albert Hill.
James was widowed in
1870.
He married for a second
time on the 15th of August 1871. The Parish Registers for Holy Trinity Church,
Darlington shows James Wallis 33, widower of Gurney Street, father Thomas a
butcher, married Jane Dobbing 36, spinster. Witnesses were ? Lonsdale and Mary
Dobbing.

1881 was living with her widowed mother and twin brothers in Aldbrough,

On the 21st of November 1892 Emily was living at Rise Carr, Darlington when
she married 24 year old fitter Edward McKenzie of Rise Carr at St Paul's
Church, Darlington. Witnesses were William Wheelhouse McKenzie and Ann
