on the 8 Dec 1824 , son of George Ibbetson and Mary. West Tanfield PR's show - 8 December 1824, baptism of George, son of George and Mary Ibbotson, labourer of Thornbro'.
Married Jane.

1884 Electoral Registers show a George Ibbitson Snr at 9 Farrer Street. Still
there in 1885 according to Electoral Register.
1888 Electoral Register - 7 Farrer Street.
1889 Electoral Register shows George Ibbotson Snr living at 7 Farrer Street,
Darlington.
By 1891 was living on own means at 7 Farrer Street, Darlington along with his
wife Jane and son Moses.

Otley, Yorkshire c1853. Married Mary Ann. Son James baptised at St Paul's
Church, Darlington on the 5th of February 1878, the son of Moses, a labourer
and Mary Ann of 3 Listers Buildings, Darlington. In 1878 Moses was living at
3 Listers Building, Darlington when son James was baptised.
In 1881, was living with his parents at 21 Lister Buildings, Darlington,
employed as a boilersmith as listed as widowed. (No mention made of son
James). By 1891 he was a labourer to a boilersmith and living with his
parents at 7 Farrer Street, Darlington.
Died in 1911
at Darlington's workhouse aged 57 years. Buried at the town's
West Cemetery on the 21st of June 1911. |
