21 October 2003 Charles Wallis Baptised at St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington on the 6th of August 1856, the son of Stephen Wallis and Ann Spetch.In 1881 was living with his mother at 1 Cobden Street, Darlington and employed as a tailor and woollen draper. Married Sarah.
1901 census shows -
The 1908/09 edition shows Wallis and Greenwood Tailors at 4 Prebend Row, Darlington.
To the extreme left of this view is Bowser, printer and stationer, next door to Freeman Hardy + Willis, Mrs Watsons cocoa rooms are next, then Wallis and Greenwood, tailors and hosiers, next to them is Nicholsons grocery store.
